November was quite wet in Tofino but thankfully we saw the sun a little more often in December. When the sun was shining we explored a little further and often ended up at Pettinger Point.
To get to the point we walked to the far end of our beach and through the forest via the boardwalk. Or if the tide was out we could do it all from the beach walking the final part over the rocks.
Either way we really enjoyed our time there and most days got some really good photos.
I was trying to get a good shot of the dogs.
A good shot of Derek wearing his very nice Anian melton wool shirt.
You see the look right? The hurry up and take your picture look! I had D and C wait so the beach was footprint free!
Trust me they do get a bit sick of the 'stop for a picture'!
OUR beach. Bet everyone else calls it that too!
Not a bad place to catch some rays.
A selfie!
And one with Cassia as she goes off to explore.
And explore.
Pretty busy on the surf expressway.
We watched them for quite a while and I was surprised that they didn't crash into each other as one is riding the wave and the others are swimming out.
I found these in our photo collection ..... a couple of Cassia's latest. She does character studies for her stories.
Meanwhile back in Tofino in January 2019.....
The last picture I took before we left on January 28th.
January 2020 found us in ......
Davis Mountain State Park Texas. Derek and I hadn't been to this park since 2008! Here we are parked just down from the site we were in then. Strange to travel back to memories made 12 years before.
Of course, when in Fort Davis a stop at the Drug Store is a must.
One of the best chicken fried steaks and boy do I miss it!
Cassia and her commentary on the snow err mush we had Jan. 24th.
And then a few days later a visit from the Trumpet Swans and Canadian Geese.
This was supposed to be the snow post but that will be next time!
Thanks for reading!
Teresa
